iPhones are the new cigarettes

Way back in the old days, before all this interweb thingy was around, it was the smoking women who used to show their nails. There was a big link between glamorous nails and the elegant sweep of the cigarette to lips and down again. An image no doubt promoted by Hollywood and tobacco companies alike.

When smoking started to lose favor women’s hands fell out of view, stayed in gloves or thrust in pockets. Hands that don’t have to be shown can stay hidden.

Then came the mobile phones and all of a sudden the hands are back on display again. Take care of your nails ladies because they say a lot about you. And with a mobile phone in your hands they say that thing a lot of the time.
