To the nail fans of the world she was probably the first time many had seen very long nails on a woman even if she was green.
Susan Oliver was only 58 when she died from cancer in 1990, but she was more than an actress; she was a director and had directed two episodes of M*A*S*H amongst other programs and she was also a qualified pilot.

Susan Oliver was also one of the most feminine actresses I have ever seen as well. Very womanly in her demeanor with a gentle yet strong, femininity that shone through every character she portrayed. The only actress that exudes such womanliness and immediately comes to mind, to me, right now is Patricia Clarkson. I am not denying sensuality almost all actresses have it: womanliness is more rare quality and does not require much if any skin.
